OUR MISSION

Fenton Church of the Nazarene exists to create Christlike disciples who are:

Building bridges of love that lead to life!

OUR CORE VALUES

missional community

Jesus sent and sends God’s people out to the ends of the earth to share the incredible news of the Gospel. Therefore, we collectively give of ourselves to see our communities, workplaces, schools, & homes transformed through the movement of the Holy Spirit.

Micah 6:8; Matthew 5:13-16; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

Discipleship

Jesus taught that following him meant laying aside our pride and selfish intentions, carrying our crosses, and imitating him. Therefore, we commit to a lifelong journey of being remade in His image and utilizing the gifts God has given us to serve the Kingdom and influence the world around us.

Genesis 1:26-28; Matthew 28:18-20; Luke 9:23-27; Acts 2:42-47

Prayer

Jesus taught and modeled prayer as an essential form of communication and connection with the Living God. Therefore, personal and corporate prayer pervades everything we do.

Passionate Spirituality

Jesus emphasized the importance of remaining connected to Himself, the fountain of living waters. Therefore, we passionately pursue growth in our personal relationship with Jesus through prayer, Bible reading, observing Sabbath, and practicing other spiritual disciplines.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9;  Psalm 63:1-8;  John 7:38, 15:1-5

Worship

Jesus modeled the importance of gathering corporately in the presence of the Living God. Therefore, we meet weekly in the shared experience of God's awesome presence, to glorify God and be transformed by His Spirit.

Psalm 96, 100:1-2, 150;  Luke 4:16;  Romans 12:1-2;  Hebrews 10:19-25, 12:28-29
